INJURIES!!! Not the most common response you’d hear from a fitness professional on why they pursued a career in this field, but was definitely the reason I first became interested. In high school, I played football and wrestled, which led to my involvement in strength training. I would put in endless hours of training, which unfortunately often led to a season long injury. This is what motivated me to learn how the human body works and what the proper training protocols are to avoid injury.
Going into college I already had my mind set on pursuing a degree in Exercise Science. I wanted to learn proper training techniques and progressions for athletes to help them achieve their greatest athletic potential while decreasing their probability of injury. While studying at Illinois State University, my interest in this field grew even further for helping all individuals live an injury free and healthier lifestyle no matter what fitness level they are at.
Once I started working with clients of all fitness levels and age groups, it has been my passion to help them achieve their fitness goals. Weather your goal is to improve your mobility/flexibility, increase strength performance, overcome reoccurring injuries, lose body fat, build muscle, or just improve overall quality of life, it is my goal to help you get there!
When I am not at my second home of E-town Fitness with my awesome clients, I am most likely spending time with my wonderful family or friends, watching my Chicago sports team, or binge watching the Office.
